We don't breed anything else!

	If the words Irish Draught conjures up an image of something akin to a carthorse, then think again! There are pure bred Irish Draughts competing successfully in every discipline - eventing, showjumping, dressage and hunting, to name but a few.And not only at local standard!  OK, maybe if you want to compete at Badminton you will need an IDxTB Sporthorse, but if you are competing at no higher than county level,  the Irish Draught can do the job! Sadly though, the Irish Draught (and it's Sport Horse outcrosses) is under threat of decline, as the pure bred Irish Draught is becoming increasingly rare.  The breed is now on the official rare breeds list, with a national herd of less than 500. Within that rare breed, there are rare bloodlines, with some lines near extinction in the pure bred.  Mares descended from the top performance stallions became increasingly used to produce Sporthorses, and so there are very few pure bred Irish Draughts to continue these lines. Regalia Irish Draughts is all about helping to redress the balance . . .
